After using the Axil XCOR tactical HearPRO buds, you’ll never want to use another hearing protection solution again. Axil devised the perfect solution for tactical emergency responders and those who routinely work in potentially loud and unpredictable environments that can cause damaging hearing loss. The XCOR buds perform just as well for SWAT team operators as they do for everyday users listening to music at the gym or answering phone calls while driving. The wireless buds block out damaging sounds over 85 dB by digitally compressing the noise within milliseconds and not cutting it off completely like other ear muffs and buds are designed. The XCOR package includes two sets of tips (both silicone and foam) which reduce loud noise levels by 19 dB or 29 dB respectively.
Through finger touch control to the side of each unit, the Hear Control function can be activated and the volume adjusted. Hear Control amplifies ambient sounds in three selectable volumes (1x, 2x, and 6x natural hearing levels). This allows you to hear important ambient sound and speech while still retaining up to 29 dB hearing protection if a sudden noise such as gunfire or other explosion were to occur. In constant noisy environments such as concerts, air shows, loud restaurants, etc., damaging noise is kept to minimum while normal conversations can still be understood. The Bluetooth function allows pairing to common devices (smartphones, laptops, car audio, etc.). Music, 2-way radio communication, or other audio can be played through the buds while the Hear Control amplification is still activated, allowing you to maintain situational awareness while receiving connected audio and hearing protection.
The XCOR hearing protection has an impressive battery life of up to 12 hours when just the Hear Control is used, up to 6 hours if the Bluetooth audio is used by itself, or up to 4 hours when both the Bluetooth and Hear Control are used simultaneously. The units are charged by dropping them in the magnetic mounted charging case. The case is capable of rapidly recharging the XCOR buds several times before needing its own recharge via a USB-C cable. The XCOR is water, dust, and wind resistant and comes with a 1-year manufacturer warranty that can be extended by 2 years.
