American Blast System’s Mid-Cut Ballistic Helmet is a sleek and lightweight NIJ Level III helmet. The Mid-Cut helmet has a reduced profile shell that has a slightly higher side rim than other common helmets such as the military PASGT helmet, but it’s not cut as high as the High-Cut which uncovers the whole ear. The Mid-Cut is lightweight for a Level III helmet, weighing around 4.8 lbs and is rated to stop rifle rounds up to 7.62 x 51mm, 7.62 x 39mm, 5.56 x 45mm, and lesser threats. An adjustable 4-point harness with chin strap secures the helmet with a comfortable memory foam insert pad system. Side rail mounts allow for attaching hands free accessories. The helmet is available in Black or Green colors. For sizing, the helmet only comes in a Large size, but the padding inserts it comes with can be added or removed to create a tighter fit more or less to the dimensions below for a size Small/Medium.
